Geotechnical Engineering involves defining and understanding subsurface materials and their mechanical behavior, and designing earthen structures. MRCE's geotechnical designs take advantage of the positive factors of a site to safely combine man-made structures with a natural geology.
Since 1910, our services and leading edge projects have advanced the art of soil mechanics and have helped to mature the science of today's geotechnical practice. Our founder Daniel E. Moran was among the pioneering soil mechanics researchers and his leadership and early work focused MRCE's interest and concentration on the field of geotechnical and foundation engineering. Today we continue that pioneering spirit with such cutting edge technologies as ground freezing, geo-seismic engineering, and instrumentation.
